If you work with outlines, create tables of content manually, or just generally make lots of bulleted (unordered) or numbered (ordered) lists, GLUON's ProBullets & Numbers is a QuarkXPress XTensions module must have.
Gaining access
There are two components to GLUON ProBullets & Numbering: the palette and the setting dialogue box. Access to the palette interface is gained through QuarkXPress' Window menu. Simply choose the appropriate entry to either show or hide the palette.

As you install GLUON XTensions they are added to a dedicated menu in the top menu bar as shown in figure 3. My GLUON menu contains only ProBullets.

Figure 3 If you have installed any GLUON products, the GLUON menu is added to your top menu bar when you launch QuarkXPress. Choose this entry to access the settings dialogue box.
Additionally, you can access the settings dialogue box by clicking the double arrows of the palette.

Figure 4 The palette enables you to quickly and easily apply either bullets or numbers to selected text, but also gives you one-click access to the settings dialogue box.
The settings dialogue box
All pre-formatting of the bullet and number styles are controlled within the settings dialogue box. This is an easy-to-use, one-stop access to everything you need. The settings you save with a document open are embedded into the current document and will travel with that document. This is very useful when you want to use the style sheet functions or special characters particular to a given document. If, when you launch ProBullets, no settings are found in a document, the globally saved settings will be used. If no global settings exist, default settings are used.
Note: When you save settings with no document open, a settings file will be created in the
[user] > library > preferences > GLUON folder.
This folder can be shared with other users ensuring
consistency across a workflow.
