Info Panel and Linking Tools
When it comes to just obtaining information about the image, as opposed to interacting with the image, you'll find that the info panel at the left-hand side of the BigPicture dialogue box contains most of what you need. When a single image is selected, there is also full picture preview.
Figure 5 (below) When you select and image or images, the left side of the dialogue box will display information about the selection.
In either view, the information displayed depends on upon the images you have selected and what information can be parsed by BigPicture.
Shift + click to select consecutive entries, or command + click to select non-consecutive entries.

Figure 5a When you click the path drop-down, you will see the entire hierarchy of folders of where your image is stored.

Figure 5b From the dimensions drop-down menu, choose the unit display for the dimensions of the image.

Figure 5c From the print status drop-down menu, choose to print, or suppress the print, of selected images in either the list or icon view.
Along the top edge of the full width of the dialogue box, there are additional controls: select, reveal, open with, update, link, and move. The options are — for the most part — self-explanatory, so we won't go into each one individually, but we will take a look at a few of the key operators.
