CopyFlow Gold for InDesign CS3

As with CopyFlow Gold for QuarkXPress 7, CopyFlow Gold for InDesign provides import, export, and round-tripping functions in separate or single RTF, Adobe tag, or plain text files. Once you have successfully installed CopyFlow Gold for InDesign, you will find the options for all of the import/export features in the CopyFlow Gold menu added to your menu bar.

CopyFlow Gold's functions are found in the CopyFlow Gold tool dialogue box. From here you will initiate the export, import, and set preferences. With this product, as with many others, it's usually best to set preferences before you get started. From the CopyFlow Gold tool dialogue box, click the prefs button to gain access.

From this dialogue box, you have the following access:

• the export button is used to export single or multiple files as set in the preferences (see the next section for instructions on how to predefine the file format);
• the import button imports text into named frames;
• the flush button clears the contents of all named frames; and
• the find button lists all the named frames, and shows an abstract of their contents, word and line counts, and beginning page sequence numbers.

Below the mid-palette window, you have these options:

• the clear button clears the mid-palette display;
• the info button displays the current settings in the palette log;
• the prefs button opens the preferences dialog;
• the help button opens an HTML page with help, tech support, and purchase information; and
• the register button displays a dialog used to register the product with the keys emailed after purchase.

At the bottom of the palette, the version and registration status are displayed.

Click the preferences button and let's set up our options.
