Creating and using sets

A set is a container to which you may assign one or more jobs. You could use it, for instance, to output a set of proof documents (complete with image labels if you're an InDesign user), then to output the high-res versions to another device, then finally to collect the entire job for archival purposes.

To do this, click the folder icon in the upper-left corner of the main dialogue box and name the set. In the same way that you assign flags and ratings to jobs, you can add them to sets as well. Use the comments field to provide detailed information about the set and the content of the set. These comments will be present in the run dialogue box when you select that set.

To add job(s) to a set, select the set then click the option in the center pane for referenced print settings, then click the add button in the lower-right corner.

A dialogue box lists the jobs that you can add to the set. Choose a job then click OK. If you change your mind, click the listed job and then the remove button.

In addition to adding a number of jobs to a set, you can also change the order that they run.

MadeToPrint Auto for QuarkXPress

MadeToPrint offers batch processing in the form of hot folders. When you purchase MadeToPrint, you must specify the auto version. The validation code that you receive will determine the unlocked features.

Once you have installed the automatic version of MadeToPrint, click the auto tab at the top of the run dialogue box. You will set up these settings in the same way that you set up a job. Click the edit button to get started. If you do not have the auto version, you may use the auto features in demo mode for 30 days from the date of install.

The option at the bottom of this dialogue box ensures that MadeToPrint is ready for use upon restart of your computer. This means that if your computer should shut down for any reason during a processing operation, once the computer is restarted — either automatically or manually — MadeToPrint will restart as well.

The auto main dialogue box looks very similar to the standard main dialogue box, with many of the same icons and buttons. They are all used in the same manner.

Edit the settings for the automatic job in the same manner. Name the file, choose the flag setting, choose a rating, and enter information about the job into the comments field. Click apply then go to the next option, action.
