To preflight PDFs with PitStop, you use what are called PDF profiles. A PDF profile is a collection of criteria or guidelines that a PDF should meet to be output worthy. For each criterion, you can specify if it should be checked or not and how it should be listed in the preflight report (e.g., warning or error), if a deviating property is detected in the PDF.
