Returning to the icon view, the last icon represents the workspace. This is a view of the palette that you can customize — making it particularly suited to exactly your workflow.

To customize your workspace, navigate to an action group by selecting the icon in the icon view. Some actions are further nested within second-tier action groups. Keeping clicking until you have selected an action and then click on the icon with a plus sign superimposed and tick the checkbox in the resulting dialogue box to include or remove the action from the workspace.

Impositioning; printer's spreads with the power of your mouse

pdfToolbox 4 enables you to create a myriad of fully imposed signatures, as many as eight pages up. For simple projects, click the booklet button to generate a quick two-up page perfect for your desktop laser printer. For larger output devices, and using a drop-down menu with pre-defined templates, choose from two-, four-, or eight-up signatures for saddle stitch or ganged jobs.

Unlike some other impositioning products, pdfToolbox 4 can also provide n-up. This is wonderful for getting the most out of your sheet and customizing an imposition layout. Just type the number of pages across by the number of pages down and pdfToolbox 4 does the rest.

Using reader's spreads, print a job back to front, or split large spreads across two pages.

Step and repeat enables you to gang the same page on a single sheet by the number of times you specify.

Figure 4 pdfToolbox contains powerful imposition tools at about half the price of their competitors, and if that's all this product had, you'd still be ahead — but there's more, so much more.
