Create a Job Jacket — Advanced Settings Mode
Close any open project in QuarkXPress. This isn't really necessary, but it makes things a bit neater.
Choose Utilities > Job Jackets Manager.
The first time the Job Jackets Manager is opened, it appears in Basic Settings mode. After that, it opens in the last-used mode.
If the Job Jackets Manager is in Basic Settings mode, click the Advanced button to switch to Advanced Settings mode.
Click the New Job Jacket button. In the navigation dialog box, find your Work_In_Progress folder. Name the new file "Movie Campaign.xml"
and click Save.

With the new job jacket selected in the left pane, click the Load Application Resources button.
Notice that nothing is highlighted in the left pane. You've loaded application resources into the Job Jackets Manager, but now you have to drag those resources into a ticket.
Click Output Setups in the list of resource categories (top-right pane).
In the list of resource items, single-click Composite CMYK.
This is a built-in default output setup. In a real-world scenario you would be calling a setup specific for your output device, but we are using a common one for the sake of instruction.
Click the Composite CMYK item again and drag it to the Movie Campaign job jacket in the left pane. When the Movie Campaign job jacket is highlighted, release the mouse button.
Click the Movie Campaign job jacket to select it and review the resource list.
The Output Setups resource now shows one item.
Click Output Setups in the list of resources and review the item in the bottom-right pane.
The Composite CMYK output setup is now a part of the Movie Campaign job jacket.

Click Job Descriptions in the list of resources.
Click the New Item button between the list of resource categories and the lower-right pane.
This button is used to add items to a specific category of resource.
Single-click the "Job Description" item in the lower-right pane and type "New Movie Promo".
Renaming a resource item is as simple as clicking and typing.
Click the arrow to the left of New Movie Promo to expand the item and see the available settings.
Enter the following values, pressing Tab to move from one field to the next:
Job Number: 123-7
Revision: 1
Instructions: Design two comps of a poster and two versions of a corresponding magazine ad.
Notes: Assigned to Julia, senior staff designer, July 1.
